S&L Flat Roofing was founded by Director Craig Whiting in 2021 with a clear philosophy - to deliver great work at a reasonable price. Since then, the business has quickly developed a reputation for doing just that.​

Craig's wealth of experience in the building industry has proved invaluable. He began his career more than 20 years ago as a flat roofer before before moving into management in a builders merchants.

 

He then worked for a large fibre cement cladding supplier as their European technical manager, where his role involved training installers on construction sites. Craig moved into contracts management, working for ISG Jackson, Needham Contracts and RG Carter.

 

After taking the decision to move back into flat roofing, Craig initially worked as contracts manager for a large flat roofing company before making the decision to start up S&L Flat Roofing. The Ipswich roofing business was launched in partnership with Scofield and Lait, one of Suffolk’s largest pitched roofing companies.

 

Craig’s broad experience in the sector means he can quickly understand what clients expect from a roofing subcontractor – and he knows where and how he can offer value, quality and first-class service.
